Brussels, Belgium

Brussels the Belgian capital is the most visited Belgian destination and no wonder since it is full of great museums, palaces, chapels, and mansions. Its architecture is amazing, it’s very artsy and there are tons of pretty great restaurants. The main square, Grand Place is the focal point, it’s where you’ll see the extraordinary Gothic City Hall, surrounded with baroque, guild houses.
One of the main Brussels’ attractions is the futuristic Atomium, the landmark building that represents a molecule’s nine atoms, you have to climb up to it and admire the views or take photos from the nearby park very Instagram worthy. We loved the Old England Building and Broodhuis both buildings house museums today and have remarkable façades. Visit Brussels in the shoulder seasons it’s not as crowded so you’ll explore it in peace, and everything is a lot cheaper, and that is always great.

Valencia, Spain

If you want to celebrate the arrival of spring, there’s no better place to visit than Valencia. In March, this Spanish coastal city hosts a month long festival called Las Fallas which includes different street performances that welcome the new season. You will see various paper figurines, that will later be set on fire. This colorful event is also a great opportunity to try all kinds of domestic meals, that you’ll love. Weather in March is just perfect for wandering around and exploring the city temperatures are above 20 °C, and it gets pretty sunny, but be aware that the sea is too cold for swimming.
Valencia is a beautiful city, with architecture that is a mixture of old and new, with medieval castles and towers and modern art deco buildings it has it all. The Old Town is amazing you have to see the amazing towers called Torres de Serranos, a former gateway through the demolished ancient city wall, laMuralla Cristiana . Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik the Pearl of Adriatic, with its iconic Old Town is the southernmost city in Croatia and one of the most amazing cities in this part of Europe. Its walls date back to the 13th century and they recently found new fame and a way to attract many visitors from around the world they were used as a location for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones TV series. Dubrovnik gets really crowded in the summer, but visiting off season is ideal for exploring this amazing destination. There are many significant spots inside the walls but the best way to explore it to enter the Ploče Gate and wander around, let the narrow streets guide you.
The main pedestrian area, the street that you have to stroll down, is Stradun that connects Ploče gates with the Pile gates. There are many souvenir shops and cafes along both sides of this street, and in narrow streets that are connected to Stradun. Near the Ploče gates, there is the old port that harbors small boats, and a café Gradska kavana where you can relax and watch the sunset.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

Cartagena de Indias is a true Colombian gem, set on the Caribbean coast, and one of the most visited cities of South America. Its Old Town, dating back to the 16th century, remained mainly intact and is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will love exploring its colorful streets and discovering old buildings, beautiful examples of Spanish Colonial architecture. Also, you will see that beaches here are amazing and that they resemble the ones in Rio de Janeiro and Miami you’ll have amazing beach days here.
Prepare yourself for exploring a great South American culture. Wander through the streets of Cartagena and you will see the iconic palenqueras Afro Colombian women in bright dresses selling fruit. You should know that they all come from a nearby village, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, San Basilio de Palenque the first freed slaves’ settlement and the home to one unique language. Cartagena is home to amazing art, literature, and architecture you will love exploring it.
